Description

One of the great German piano manufacturers

Built in 1911, Julius Blüthner Pianofortefabrik GmbH, is a piano-manufacturing company in Leipzig, Germany. Along with C. Bechstein, Bösendorfer and Steinway & Sons, Blüthner is frequently referred to as one of the “Big Four” piano manufacturers.

Bluthner upright pianos are highly sought-after by piano enthusiasts for their rich, mellow tone and responsive action. These pianos were made at a time when Bluthner was at the peak of its craftsmanship, and they are known for their exquisite construction and materials.

The sound of a Bluthner upright piano is often described as being “full-bodied” and “warm.” The bass notes are rich and resonant, while the treble notes are clear and bright. The overall sound is well-balanced and pleasing to the ear.

The action on a Bluthner upright piano is also known for being very responsive. The keys feel smooth and effortless to play, and the hammers strike the strings with just the right amount of force. This makes it easy to play a wide variety of musical styles on these pianos.

If you are looking for a high-quality upright piano with a beautiful sound and responsive action, then a Bluthner is a great option. These pianos are built to last, and they will provide you with years of enjoyment.

Here are some of the features of a Bluthner upright piano:

  • Rich, mellow tone
  • Responsive action
  • Solid mahogany construction
  • German spruce soundboard
  • Handmade hammers
  • Premium tuning pins
  • Beautiful cabinetry

Aftercare Recommendations

Your piano will arrive in your home in tune, and ready to play. Over the course of four to six weeks, the instrument may drift out of tune as it settles into its new environment. To keep your piano pitch perfect, it should be tuned twice a year by a professional tuner.

We offer a complimentary first free tuning to be taken within two months of your piano purchase. Montague Pianos manages Piano Tuning Services, serving Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Greater London.

We will be delighted to offer you six monthly tuning reminders.
