Loans are subject to status. Terms and conditions apply.

You can get a Take it Away interest free loan of between £100 and £5000 to help spread the cost of buying an instrument

So whether you’re a parent who needs to buy an entry-level instrument for a complete beginner, or you’re an 18-25 year old more experienced musician wanting to upgrade to a better model, Take it away could make it easier for you.

It’s also possible to buy more than one musical instrument at the same time.

If the cost of the instrument/s you want to buy exceed the £5,000 loan limit, you can always use Take it away as a part-payment towards the instrument/s. You would then need to pay the remaining value by an alternative method. It is not possible to split the cost of an instrument or instruments over more than one loan application.

It’s simple to use Take it Away to spread the cost of buying a musical instrument at Montague Pianos – please follow the steps below

  1. Check if you’re eligable

To be eligible to apply for a Take it away loan you must be:

EITHER an individual over 18 buying an instrument for a child under the age of 18
OR an individual aged 18-25 using the scheme in your own right

All applicants must also be:

A permanent UK resident
Working at least 16 hours per week
Hold a bank or building society account capable of handling direct debit payments

2. Come over to Montague Pianos and we’ll help you find an instrument

We’ve been a Take it Away member retailer for many years and have been awarded Take it Away Retailer of the year at the Music Industry Awards. Out of over 200 participating stores put forward for the award, Montague Pianos were chosen as the winner for our outstanding work in the community.

3. Complete the application in-store.

To take advantage of an interest free loan on the Take it Away scheme, we need you to fill out an application in-store. It’s a standard type of credit agreement and will take approximately 5 minutes to fill out if you have all the details to hand (including your bank account details, previous address details and work contact address and phone numbers).

4. Pay your deposit.

If your application is approved, you’ll need to pay a minimum of 10% deposit of the instrument cost (or the balance over the loan amount if it is greater than 10%) there and then. The remaining cost will be the value of your Take it away loan which you will repay over 9 monthly instalments (on goods of £100 – £2,000) or 18 months (on goods of £4000 – £5,000).

You can also use the Take it Away scheme as a part payment towards a more expensive instrument, for example, if you decided that an £8000 grand piano was perfect or your needs, we could put £5000 on the Take it Away scheme to spread across 18 months, leaving only £3000 to be paid upfront.

5. Take it Away!

Once your application is approved and the deposit is paid, we are happy to organise delivery for you. We can usually deliver a piano or digital within 1-2 weeks of acceptance on the Take it Away scheme subject to removal availablilty.

Loans are subject to status – terms and conditions apply.
