Tuning and Teachers
Piano Tuning Services is a local company based at the Montague Pianos shop in Northchurch, Berkhamsted. For many years we have tuned in the local area and also in London and further afield.
Our telephone is manned between 10am and 5pm from Monday to Saturday. If you phone outside our office hours please feel free to leave a message and we'll come back to you.
To Keep your piano in its best possible condition, we recommend that you have your piano tuned twice a year, this will reduce ageing effects such as the pitch dropping, and will allow our tuners / technicians to spot and correct potential problems before they become a serious threat to your piano.
Our two tuners are Clive Wallace and Christine Casey, both of whom are top-flight technicians. Clive is fully qualified and has thirteen years experience. He has tuned at a wide variety of concert halls and recording studios, and regularly tunes and maintains the pianos at Cambridge University.
Christine is also an experienced and accomplished tuner. She trained at Steinway's London workshops and regularly tunes at London's South Bank Centre.
Covering a wide local area and parts of North London, we currently charge £50 per tuning session.
